Brendan Jones to miss late season events

Australian Brendan Jones will miss the rest of the golfing season in Japan as he grapples with a wrist injury that has plagued him the past two months.
Jones was forced to withdraw from the ANA Open in Hokkaido earlier this season with both a shoulder and wrist injury but it has been the wrist injury that his kept him away from competitive golf since.
He returned to Japan last week in the hope he might play the season ending events there but it soon became apparent he could not do so.
Jones will look at the having the wrist operated on as soon as possible in order that he can fully recover in time for the season opening event in Japan next year.
Earlier this year Jones won his 13th Japan Tour title when successful at the Gateway to the Open Mizuno Open taking his career earnings in that country close to A$10,000,000 during his 10 year career there.
Jones played the Nationwide and PGA Tours in 2004 and 2005 where he finished runner-up at the BC Open and won the La Salle Bank Open, an event on the Nationwide Tour.
Jones also finished runner-up to Peter Senior at the 2012 Australian Open at the Lakes Golf Club.
All going well Jones is expected to be playing tournament golf early in the new year.
