Welshman Jamie Donaldson has a three shot lead over Thomas Bjorn and Ryan Moore through 54 holes of the Nedbank Challenge in Sun City in South Africa, the 33 year who is based in Macclesfield in England chasing his third European Tour title but by far his most lucrative.

Donaldson, who won in Abu Dhabi earlier this year and in Ireland in 2012, has recorded just two bogeys in his opening 54 holes, is in rare form at present with four top tens in his last five starts in some big European Tour events and a win tomorrow would take him inside the top twenty five in the world after starting the year in 47th position.

The excellent form Thomas Bjorn has shown in recent starts including when runner-up to Jason Day at the World Cup of Golf at Royal Melbourne and when winning in Switzerland continues, his equal best round of the day moving him into the share of second with American Ryan Moore who won recently in Malaysia.

There is a further two shots back to Sergio Garcia, Thongchai Jaidee and Henri Stenson.

Peter Senior is the only Australian in the field but after in improvement of twelve shots in his round of 68 on day two he struggled round of 75 today to be well back in the 30 man field but even last place this week should result in a cheque for close to A$100,000.
