Denmark’s Thomas Bjorn continued his return to amongst the elite of European golf with two shot victory over Sergio Garcia and long time leader Jamie Donaldson to win the lucrative Nedbank Challenge at Sun City in South Africa.

Bjorn, who will move inside the top ten of European golfers with his win, won in Switzerland in August, finished runner-up to Jason Day at the World Cup of Golf three weeks ago and now this great victory to finish off another great year.

Eagles at his 10th and 14th holes in round four gave Bjorn the ascendancy and even a bogey at the final round could not stop him from claiming the US$1,250,000 first prize.
For Bjorn it was his 15th European Tour event in 11 different countries.

Donaldson also continued a very good season when he finished in a share of second and although he will be disappointed to have held on to his long time lead it was another very good week for the Welshman who won in Abu Dhabi and recorded six other top tens.

Garcia briefly took the lead when he raced to the turn in 30 but could not hold Bjorn off down the stretch.

Peter Senior was the only Australian in the field and although he finished last he still collected US$63,000.
