Japan Tour qualifying completed

BY Bruce Young | 10 Dec 2013

The final results of qualifying for the 2014 Japan Golf Tour are in and several Australasians now have a quality tour on which to play next year.

Steven Jeffress 18th, Stephen Leaney 20th, Matthew Guyatt 22nd, Adam Bland 30th and New Zealander Richard Lee 39th have all finished high enough to secure enough starts to establish good status in Japan.

Guyatt produced a great final 36 holes to emerge from all but no status after 72 holes to claim his final position.

For Peter Wilson, 73rd, Darren Beck, 82nd, and Steve Jones, 84th, however, their chances of securing sufficient starts to make a difference in 2014 seem slim.

The opening event of the 2014 Japan Tour season will be in Thailand and Indonesia in March while the first domestic event will be in its usual timeslot of mid April.
