Greg Norman Junior Masters underway

The Greg Norman Junior Masters is underway at the Palmer Colonial Golf Club on the Gold Coast, the first of four rounds in this time honoured event which has seen many of Australia’s best modern day golfers on the winner’s list, being played over the Palmer Colonial Golf Club in Robina.

224 players from throughout Australia and the Pacific Rim will tee it up over 72 holes a cut after 54 holes reducing the field by 50% before the final round is played at Palmer Coolum Resort on the Sunshine Coast on Wednesday 18th December.

At an opening ceremony last night, attended by the owner of all three courses, Clive Palmer, all players and officials enjoyed a grand opening where both Queensland golfing icon Charlie Earp and Palmer himself spoke about the importance of the event.

Today’s round will be followed on Sunday 15th by another at the Palmer Colonial Golf Club then the final before the 54 hole cut at the nearby Palmer Gold Coast (formerly Robina Woods).

The event is played in three separate age divisions for both boys and girls 17 and under, 15 and under and 13 and under.
