Birdies at three of her final four holes of the Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic have given American Jessica Korda a one shot victory over Stacy Lewis and the 20 year old her second LPGA Tour title.

Korda whose only other LPGA Tour victory came at the Australian Women’s Open in 2012, came from three off the pace of 54 hole leader, Na Yeon Choi.

There was a four way tie for third between Choi, Thailand’s Pornanong Phatlum, Paula Creamer and Lizette Salas.

New Zealander Lydia Ko, in her very first event as an LPGA Tour cardholder, finished in a very respectable tie for 8th position and adds another US$31,000 to her earnings since turning professional towards the end of 2013.

Katherine Hull and Sarah Jane Smith, the only two Australians in the field, tied for 33rd position and earned US$7,500 each.

The LPGA Tour now has a two week break before heading to the Victoria Golf Club in Melbourne for the Australian Women’s Open.
