Cejka wins shortened Web.Com Tour opener

The opening event of the 2014 Web.Com Tour season, the Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship has been reduced to 54 holes following weather delays with Germany’s Alex Cejka winning by thre over American Andrew Putnam.

Cejka, a two time runner-up on the PGA Tour during a lengthy career there, produced a third and final round of 63 to claim his first Web.Com Tour victory.

Alistair Presnell and Ashley Hall finished as the leading Australians in a share of 29th position with James Nitties and Gavin Coles next in 41st.

The Web.Com Tour now takes a two week break before the Chile Classic in Santiago.
