Web.Com Tour in Chile

BY Bruce Young | Web.com Tour | 2014 Chile Classic | Preview | 04 Mar 2014

The Web.Com Tour plays its second event of the 2014 season this week, three weeks after their first tournament of the 2014 season in Colombia.

The Chile Classic at the Prince of Wales Country Club in Chile commences a run of three consecutive events in Chile, Brasil and Panama, the continuation of a 25 tournament season for the Web.Com Tour culminating in the Web.Com Tour Championship in mid September.

The winner of the first event of the season in Colombia, Alex Cejka, is not in this week’s field but a long list of Australasians will compete perhaps headed by Ashley Hall who last week played well at the New Zealand Open when finishing 4th.

Hall had a great rookie season on the Web.Com Tour last season, just failing to gain his PGA Tour status in the regular season before struggling during the Final series.

Other Australasians are Gavin Coles, Alistair Presnell, Adam Crawford, Peter Lonard, Cameron Percy, Aron Price, Steve Allan, Nick Flanagan, Matthew Goggin, James Nitties, Jake Younan and New Zealander Steve Alker.
