Can Goggin add to his Panama Open record

The Web.Com Tour’s Central and South American swing comes to an end this week when the Panama Claro Open is played at the Panama Golf Club in Panama City.
The Web.Com Tour will then head to Broussard in Louisiana for next week’s Chitimaca Louisiana Open, the first event on US soil for the 2014 season. All but two events of the remaining schedule are in the US the exceptions being one tournament in Mexico and one in Canada.
Often on the Web.Com Tour the previous year’s winner does not defend his title because typically his win has resulted in him getting to the PGA Tour the following year but this week Kevin Foley returns to Panama City. His season in 2013 after his victory fell in a heap but he gets another chance on a golf course he no doubt enjoys.
All three winners to date in the 2014 season, Alex Cejka, Adam Hadwin and Jon Curran will also play.
Mathew Goggin has been a winner and runner-up in two of the last three years at this venue. Goggin’s problem however is that he has missed his last two cuts after what had been a good start in the opening event of the year in Colombia.
Alistair Presnell went so close to winning two starts ago in Chile and could go on with it despite missing the cut last week in Brazil.
Other Australasians in the field are Steve Alker, Steve Allan, Gavin Coles, Adam Crawford, Adam Crawford, Nick Flanagan, Nathan Green, Peter Lonard, James Nitties, Nick O’Hern, Cameron Percy, Aron Price, Alistair Presnell and Jake Younan.
