The Asian Eurasia Cup side has closed the gap on the Europeans at the end of day two of the event at the Glenmarie Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

Asia defeated the Europeans 3 to 2 in today’s Foursomes to at least keep some interest alive in tomorrow’s ten singles matches. After their five nil drubbing in yesterday’s Fourball matches they now trail the Europeans by just four points (7 to 3)

Hyung-sung Kim and Prayad Marksaeng combined to defeat the Danish pair of Thomas Bjorn and Thorbjorn Olesen 4&3 while Anirban Lahiri and Siddikur Rahman defeated Victor Dubuisson and Joost Luiten by a narrow one hole margin.

Graeme McDowell and Jamie Donaldson were the only European pairing to win today although Gonzalo FDEZ-CASTAÑO & Stephen Gallacher and Miguel Angel Jimenez & Pablo Larrazabal earned ½ a point each in their respective halved matches against Koumei Oda & Hideto Tanihara and Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Thongchai Jaidee.
