26 year old Swedish star, Anna Nordqvist, has won her second LPGA Tour title of the season and the 4th of her career with a final round of 67 and a one shot win over Lizette Salas at the Kia Classic at the Aviara Golf Club in Carlsbad in California.

Five weeks ago Nordqvist won her first LPGA Tour event in more than four years in Thailand and today she further confirmed her form with the best final round of the day to win a week ahead of the opening major of the year, the Kraft Nabisco.

Nordqvist improves six positions in the Rolex World Ranking to 10th.

24 year old American, Lizette Salas, still looking for her first victory, birdied three of her last five holes to be alone in second position, the second such position she has recorded in her LPGA Tour career. Salas is now 14th in the world.

Lexi Thompson was 3rd and Chella Choi finished 4th.

Karrie Webb began the final round four shots off the pace but unlike last week when she began the final round five behind and caught the leader, she dropped three shots in her first two holes and never really recovered, eventually finishing 25th.

Lydia Ko and Katherine Kirk finished well back in 61st position.
