Victoria win Men's Interstate title

In a closely fought final at the Men’s Interstate Series at the Federal Golf Club in Canberra, Victoria has defeated NSW by a narrow 4½ to 3½ margin to win all six encounters they contested this week.

Victoria proved the dominant side in the round robin series earlier in the week and while they were pushed to the limit in this morning’s final it is perhaps fitting that domination has been rewarded with the Interstate title.

Winners for Victoria this morning were Todd Sinnott, Geoffrey Drakeford, Zach Thomas and Andrew Schonewille while for NSW Jordan Junic, Troy Moses and Travis Smyth each won their matches.

Ricky Kato and Thomas Power Horan halved their match.

The Victorian team last won the title in 2009.

In the Consolation Final Queensland defeated South Australia 5½ to 2½.
