Seven Australians in US Women's Open

With Sectional Qualifying at the US Women’s Open now complete, seven Australians and one New Zealander will take their place in the field at Pinehurst No 2 on June 19th.
Karrie Webb and Katherine Kirk were already exempt prior to Sectional Qualifying, Webb through many categories and Kirk through her finish inside the top 70 of the 2013 LPGA money list.
Stephanie Na, Nikki Campbell, Minjee Lee, Stacey Keating and Sarah Jane Smith all played their way into the field with success at various Sectional Qualifying venues.
Na and Campbell, who play the Ladies European Tour were successful in Buckinghamshire in England, Minjee Lee was the only qualifier at her venue in Minnesota where she won by nine shots, Stacey Keating also won her qualifier in North Carolina and Sarah Jane Smith was called up after initially earning only alternate status.
Smith earning a last minute inclusion as an alternate from her venue in Virginia where she originally missed a spot after a playoff.
Lydia Ko, the current world number three, is the New Zealander who gets a start in her second US Women’s Open.
