Pat Bates put a lock on his card for next season with a win in this weeks Buy.Com Tour event in Shreveport in Louisiana. Bates who had been 9th on the money list was looking pretty safe anyway but this win provided the insurance and he can head to the Tour Championship knowing that a good finish will be a bonus rather than a necessity.

Brian Kamm was second ensuring a move from 55th on the money list inside the top forty and a start at the all-important end of season Tour Championship this week.

New Zealander Phil Tataurangi was 11th and Jamie Rogers was the leading Australian in 16th place. Rod Pampling had one of his few hiccups of late with a missed cut but he is secure in the knowledge that this coming week's Tour Championship will be his last on the Buy.Com Tour hopefully forever.
