The 5th event of the twelve tournament PGA Tour’s China Series begins this Thursday at the Earls Golf Club in Beijing with the staging of the Earls Golf Beijing Open.

Twenty seven Australasians will play the event, headed by the winner in Wuhan a month ago, Brett Drewitt and last week’s winner in Shanghai, David McKenzie.

Drewitt is currently second on the money list behind American Sam Chien while McKenzie is now in 4th position.

McKenzie, who won by five shots in Shanghai, has played only two of the four events.

Stephen Dartnall is currently in 7th position after three events while Gold Coast’s Ray Beaufils is 10th after playing all four events to date.

Each event is worth US$200,000 with the leading money winner at season’s end earning full exemption to the 2015 Web.Com Tour and players two to five earning conditional status.
