Sydney’s Jarrod Freeman is the only Australian through to the match play phase of the famed North and South Amateur at Pinehurst this week, the lefthander finishing in a share of 11th position of the 16 players through to the elimination rounds.

20 year old, Freeman, will play local golfer Michael Cromie in the opening round of match play on Friday at Pinehurst No 8.

Victorian Ryan Ruffels and NSW’s Zac Stolz finished three shots from the qualifying mark while Shell Harbour golfer Travis Smyth was two shots further back.
