Nine Australians at Players Am

BY Bruce Young | US Mens Amateur Tour | 2014 Players Amateur | Preview | 08 Jul 2014

The American summer of amateur events continues this week when the Players Am is played at the Berkeley Hall Golf Club in Blufton in South Carolina.

The event offers not only one of the more prestigious titles in American amateur golf but the chance, for the winner, to play the PGA Tour’s RBC Heritage event next April.

Australians have had two players win the event previously, Aron Price (2004) and Daniel Nisbet (2012) both successful and in 2014 nine Australians and three New Zealanders will tee it up.

Maverick Antcliff, Cameron Davis, Geoff Drakeford, Ben Eccles, Jarryd Felton, Todd Sinnott, Antonio Murdaca, Simon Viitakangas and Jordan Zunic are joined by New Zealanders Josh Munn, Vaughn McCall and Tae Koh in the 72 hole event.
