Mirim Lee wins in rookie LPGA season

A birdie on the second extra hole of a playoff against her fellow countrywoman, Inbee Park, at the inaugural Meijer LPGA Classic in Grand Rapids in Michigan has given Mirim Lee her first LPGA Tour victory.

After three years playing the Korean LPGA Tour, 23 year old Lee is in her rookie season on the LPGA Tour having finished runner-up at the LPGA Tour School last year.

Suzann Pettersen finished one shot out of the playoff in 3rd position.

Katherine Kirk was the best of the Australians in 29th position with Karrie Webb and Lindsey Wright sharing 50th.
