Baddeley, Coles and Alker keep the dream alive

Todd Barranger shot a -7 (65) to take a two stroke lead after the first round of the Buy.com Tour Championship. The top 15 players on the Buy.com money list following this tournament will earn exemptions to play on the all-important PGA Tour. Barranger missed a start on the main tour last year by just US$2500 after shooting an opening round in the 80’s.
Jason Gore bogeyed the 18th hole to close with a -5 (67) and is tied with Mike Heinen and Eric Meeks.
Aaron Baddeley, Steve Alker and Gavin Coles have all gotten off to a great start to make sure them remain inside the all-important Top 15, which will they will move up to the PGA Tour next year. Baddeley posted a -4 to finish the best of the Australasians in 5th place with Gavin Coles two strokes back at -2 (T11).
