Percey and Bonhomme share lead at halfway mark

Housemates Adrian Percey and Andrew Bonhomme share the lead halfway through the $100,000 Victorian Open taking place at the Portsea and Sorrento Golf Clubs. Adelaide's Percey and Queenslander Bonhomme lead the field at -8 after a windy second round.
Adrian Percey, who hails from South Australia, took the first round lead following a -8 (64) but a 70 today at Sorrento Golf Club saw him relinquish the outright lead. Bonhomme, on the other hand, handled the windy conditions a little better and managed to back up his first round with another round of 67, the best of the day.
The ACT's Craig Carmichael, amateur Marc Leishman and Kiwi Mark Brown are three shots adrift of the leaders at -5.
The 160 strong field was cut in half at the end of today's play, the cut coming at 2 and tied for 53rd and above. Queensland's Peter McWhinney, Kiwi Gareth Paddison, Shane Tait, Kenny Druce and Wayne Riley were some of the better known names to miss the weekend cut.
The remaining two rounds over the weekend will be played at the Sorrento Golf Club.
