Lee and Oh win MasterCard Junior Masters

Queensland’s Kevin Lee has birdied the last hole to finish the 72 hole MasterCard Junior Masters on six under par, one stroke clear of Korea’s Danny An and fellow Queenslander Daniel Nisbet.

In the girls section, Sarah Oh from New South Wales fired a two under par 70 in today’s final round to finish five strokes clear of the field on eight under par from Stephanie Na (South Australia) and Ashleigh Simon (South Africa).

The winning male player from the MasterCard Junior Masters receives an exemption from MasterCard to play in the MasterCard Masters and the winning female player receives an exemption to play in the ANZ Ladies Masters.

The competing golfers were chosen by their state golf associations, state junior foundations and women’s golf associations, assuring the tournament had the highest ranked junior players from each state.
