Tournament draw card Kim Felton produced the days best score a 7 under par 63 to climb back into contention after the completion of the second round of the WA PGA Championship at the Western Australian Golf Club.

Felton returned to the form that has seen him win no less than 5 Professional State titles a victory in the Cairns Classic and another in the Queensland Masters. He has also secured a victory on last years Nationwide Tour in the United States. A victory that guaranteed him status for this year and supplied him with an opportunity to secure a much sort after PGA Tour card which he narrowly missed. If Felton was to secure a victory this week he would have won each of the last three major titles hosted at The Western Australian Golf Club.

He has returned to his home state to not only support the Von Nida Tour but to support a club that he neighbours.

He opened his account with a poor round of 73 and reduced his first day by a massive 10 strokes that included a double bogey on the 1st hole, his tenth and nine birdies.

Over night leader Adam Crawford started his second round off the 10th tee in form that he would care to forget making the turn in 38, 3 over par. He made a bogey on the 1st to be 4 over after 10 holes before signing for a 72 leaving him in a tie for the lead with tour rookie Jon Abbott sharing a total of 133, 7 under par.

The cut was set at 144, 4 over par with 57 players fighting it out over the weekend.

Von Nida Tour money leader David Diaz ensured he will be around for the weekend with a two day total of 1 under par.
