As the 2001 European Seniors Tour season winds to a close with only three events left, the tour continues to produce first time winners.

Jamaican born US resident Delroy Cambridge in his rookie season won his first event on tour with the victory here in Manchester. Cambridge, who had finished fourth at the Tour School last year, has had a series of good finishes this season this being his ninth top ten in 18 starts.

Starting the last round one behind the overnight leader Ian Mosey he got just the start he wanted with birdies at the first two holes and went on to win by a shot from Jerry Bruner.

Ian Stanley's 11th placing further consolidated his position at the top of the money list, Simon Owen was 16th along with David Good and Noel Ratcliffe 21st.
