Steve Williams discusses Tiger's Open success

IN: News | European PGA | British Open (2006) | Final Round | by Bruce Young | 27 Jul 2006

As Steve Williams relaxed at his home in Oregon just a few days after carrying Tiger Woods bag to their 10th Major Championship victory together, he talked with Bruce Young on the leadup to Hoylake, the tournament itself and the emotional aftermath and looked ahead to Medinah.

In his usual open and forthright manner, Steve discusses the swing change Tiger made that led to his quick bounce back to form at the Western Open, the strategic policy adopted at Hoylake and the reason for it and the suitability of Hoylake for the Open Championship.

Steve also gives his own thoughts on the venue for the PGA in two week's time at Medinah, a course on which he has caddied in two previous major championships, along with other interesting news from the most successful caddy the game of golf has ever seen.
