Tiger takes lead at Firestone

It was a finish that was unexpected as Tiger Woods awaited a ruling for over 25 minutes when his 9-iron shot became a flyer and his ball sailed over the grandstand, off the cement path, over fans in the balcony and onto the roof. It was his only bogey as he passed opening day leader, Adam Scott, to take the lead after the second day of the WGC Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club, Akron, Ohio.

Adam Scott was unable to continue with his opening 63 as he pushed himself around the 7360 yard layout with a one over 71. Scott has moved to T3, three shots behind Tiger.
Paired with Jim Furyk, who scored a hole in one, O'Hern must have been spurred by Furyk's effort as the Western Australian moved 14 spots up the leaderboard with his second round 69.
Michael Campbell had a second round that proved costly as he moved from T4 to be positioned at T11 after a 71.
The other Australasian players have yet to fire this week at Firestone Country Club and will be looking to make a move over the next two rounds. There is no cut at this week's tournament.
