The completion of qualifying at the first three venues of stage two of USPGA Tour qualifying is just eighteen holes away and several Australasians are still in with a chance to make it to the finals in early December.
At Seaside in California, Matt Jones is 23rd, Craig Spence 30th and Matthew Ecob 60th with just the top twenty to graduate.
In McKinney, Texas, Zoran Zorkic, who played much of his junior golf in Australia is in third place, Bradley Hughes 9th and James McLean 26th with the top twenty to get through.
In Panama City, Florida, New Zealander Richard Lee is well poised to advance as he is in 9th place with the top twenty to advance.
Three more venues are to be used in stage two next week, with several further Australians and New Zealanders, including Michael Long and Grant Waite, lining up for a spot at the finals. In the finals some 170 players will tough it out for one of the 35 USPGA Tour cards available.
