Paul McNamee, Executive Chairman Australian Opens, Golf Australia said, “Women’s golf is about skill, talent and glamour and looking at our line up we’d have to say that the MFS Women’s Australian Open has never looked better.”

Also lining up will be 18 players from the Korean KLPGA Tour that are all in the top 31 money list and three Japanese, LPGA of Japan Tour players all currently ranked in the top 15 on its Tour.

Other Australians joining the field include Rachel Hetherington; Sarah Kemp; Rebecca Stevenson; Sarah-Jane Kenyon; Cherie Byrnes; Nadina Light and Lindsey Wright.

“Let’s not forget that all these women will be joining our own legendary Karrie Webb, number two Nikki Campbell, defending champion Laura Davies from the UK and top 20 ranked glamour girl Natalie Gulbis of USA. What’s even more exciting is the amazing array of young talent coming up through the ranks.
