European qualifying way behind schedule

Well there has at least now been some golf at all three venues in stage two of European Tour qualifying but even today, the St Cyprien venue in France was unable to complete round one.
At Golf de Catalunya in Spain, three of the four rounds have been completed and New Zealander Tim Wilkinson, heads the Australasians there despite a third round 66. He has slippped to 32nd and with just the 32 players to get through to the final stage from this venue, he cannot afford any slip up tomorrow. At the same venue fellow countryman Elliott Boult has made progress with a third round 72 on a difficult scoring day. He is in 36th spot and has some chance of making it through. Australian Martin Doyle is in 53rd place and now needs something special tomorrow.
At St Cyprien in Southern France, Daniel Gaunt is the only Australasian in the field and it would appear he has yet to complete his round on a day again disrupted by weather. Some 30 players were stranded when high winds brought play to a halt.
At Perlada in the north east of Spain, the news is slightly better with Marcus Fraser off to a good start with a first round 66 to be in fourth place. Adam Crawford is 8th, with Steven Bowditch, John Sutherland and John Wade in equal 37th. Thirty-three players will advance from Perlada.
