Australian Brian Jones, a winner on the European Tour this season, has returned to complete the final round at his venue at Lompoc in California to head stage one qualifying for next season’s Champions Tour (previously the Seniors Tour).

Jones, who had just three holes to play in his final round when bad light forced a stop to play the previous day, completed his last round in a two under par 70 to win at his venue by a shot. There were four shots back to the third place finisher. Jones now heads to final qualifying in Brooksville, Florida in ten days time where he will join fellow graduate and countryman Mike Ferguson in the bid to secure one of eight fully exempt cards available there.
