Stewart maintains lead at NSW Amateur

Current Australian Amateur Champion Tim Stewart (Monash Country Club) on 7 under par leads a tightly packed field going into tomorrow’s final 36 holes of the Imagetec NSW Medal Championship.

He leads by one from fellow state player Rohan Blizard (NSW Golf Club) with a further 2 back to David Horsey (England). The only other players under par after the first two rounds being Matthew Jones -3 (Easts Leisure and Golf), and Englishmen Stephen Lewton -2, and Gary Wolstenholme -1.

Best scores of the second round were 69’s from Gary Wolstenholme, and Mona Vale Golf Club’s big hope Michael Raseta, at Mona Vale, and Do Hyung Kim (NSWGC) and Grant Thomas (New Brighton GC) at Cromer Golf CLub.

The final 36 holes will be played at Mona Vale Golf Course from 7am Monday. The cut for the final 36 holes was nine over par.
