Stacy Prammanasudh today won her second LPGA Tour event when she held on to a second round lead she shared with Angela Park at the Fields Open in Kapolei in Hawaii, to eventually win by one over South Korean, Jee Young Lee.

After two opening birdies, Prammanasudh was never headed during the final day and although challenges were appearing from the likes of Lee, Ai Miyazato, Morgan Pressel and Cristie Kerr they could not get close enough to place the ultimate pressure on the winner.

A 27-year-old University of Tulsa graduate, Prammanasudh finished 8th last week in the opening event of the season at Turtle Bay and as a result of this win moves to the top of the money 2007 list.

Prammanasudh has not won since her breakthrough victory at the Franklin American Mortgage Championship in 2005 but in 2006 she recorded perhaps an even more significant finish when third behind Annika Sorenstam and Pat Hurst at the US Women’s Open.

Lee had won the CJ Nine Bridges event in Korea at the end of 2005 to gain access the LPGA Tour and in her rookie season in 2006 showed that the win had been no home town fluke. She collected six top ten finishes including a runner up at the Wendy’s Championship, a placing ironically she shared with this week’s winner.

Third place went to Miyazato, Pressel and Angela Park, while Kerr and Vicki Goetze Ackerman shared 6th.

The best of the Australians was Wendy Doolan, who finished strongly after a slow start to her round today to finish 8th, her first top ten since November of 2005. Doolan, however, played on a limited schedule in 2006 due to a rib injury.

Karrie Webb was 14th, Lindsey Wright 21st, Rachel Hetherington 31st and Nadina Light 67th.

The LPGA Tour now has a one week break before heading to Mexico for the MasterCard Classic starting March 9th.
