At the scene of his very first professional tournament, Australian Aaron Baddeley has taken the lead through nine holes in today’s first round of the Mitsui Sumitomo Vias Taiheyo event south of Tokyo.
Baddeley was four under through ten holes and a one shot leader over a group of players at three under including fellow Australian Brendan Jones, who was three under through five holes and Shingo Katayama.
Scott Laycock has had four birdies in his first seven holes but two bogies have him at two under.
