One round to go in stage two USPGA Tour qualifying

IN: News | US PGA | USPGA Qualifying School - Second Stage (2002) | Round Three | by Bruce Young | 15 Nov 2002

Just eighteen holes remains for those attempting to get a place at the final USPGA Tour Q-School and New Zealanders Grant Waite, Michael Long and Australian Mark Hensby have at least given themselves a great opportunity to advance.

In Florida, Grant Waite's third round 72 saw him slip from third to sixteenth but with the top twenty one to advance, he still stands a very good chance of being in California for the finals in three weeks time.

In Beaumont, California, Michael Long is fifth after a third round 72, Mark Hensby 10th after a 73 and Matthew Lane 47th. Again the top twenty one will get through.
