33 year old Thai, Thongchai Jaidee, leads at the completion of round two at the TCL Classic in Dongguan in southern China, his second round 67 opening up a three shot lead over Bob May, Colin Montgomerie, Lee Westwood, Henrik Berhmann and first round leader Ted Oh.

Michael Campbell heads the players from our region after a second round 70 has him at one under in 29th place, eight shots behind Jaidee but five out of second place.

West Australian Dean Alaban is at even par in 38th place and Eddie Lee is at two over after a 78 today slipped him from second to fifty third position.

Ian Edwards, Michael Wright and Terry Pilkadaris were at three over in 61st place, with New Zealander Richard Best at four over. They were the only Australasians to make the cut.

The most notable player to miss the cut was John Daly whose second round 80 saw him miss by two. A ten at the par five fifteenth ruined his chances. Also missing from the weekend will be Order of Merit leader Arjun Atwal and third placed China Open winner, David Gleeson.
