New Zealander Michael Long and Arizona based Australian Mark Hensby have advanced to the final Q-School for the 2003 USPGA Tour following the final round of stage two this morning.

Long has struggled in his first season on the USPGA Tour this year finishing 183rd on the money list, while Hensby at times threatened to gain his card via the Buy.Com Tour, eventually finishing thirty third. Both are now amongst the group of one hundred and seventy players who will tee it up in La Quinta, California starting December 4th. Long finished sixth and Hensby 17th this week.

The same cannot be said unfortunately for Grant Waite who, despite shooting four rounds of par or better in Florida this week, was not able to secure a spot in the finals. He finished in thirty second place when only the top twenty one would advance. Quite where that leaves Waite is difficult to assess as he effectively now has no tour on which to play.

Long and Hensby however will join the likes of Mattie Goggin, Paul Gow and Steve Allan, who have not made the top one twenty five on the USPGA Tour this year but have finished inside the top one fifty. Scott Laycock, who gets direct access to the final via the Australasian Tour money list and Bradley Hughes and James McLean, who have advanced from earlier stage two qualfying, will also be in California.

New Zealander Matthew Lane missed out in Califorina.
