Recent NSW Open winner, Queenslander Terry Price and New Zealander Stephen Scahill, have both survived a gruelling six rounds of tension and emotion to emerge with tour cards for next year’s European Tour. Price has finished in 18th spot and Scahill 27th with a total of thirty-nine players earning category 11 cards, which is a fully exempt card for the 2003 season.

For Price, this now offers the opportunity to develop his impressive game on a full-time basis with a tour to play on at last and for Scahill he gets another chance to consolidate his position in European golf after having lost his full card a few weeks ago.

Several Australasians missed narrowly, more especially Steve Bowditch and Brett Rumford, who missed by just the one shot. Bowditch and Rumford along with Marcus Fraser, Ed Stedman and Lucas Parsons will receive category 14 cards, which gives them some starts in Europe and some on the Challenge Tour.
