Holden Australian Open re-scheduled to 54 holes

The Executive Director of the Australian Golf Union, Mr Colin Phillips, announced that the 2002 Holden Australian Open will now be decided over 54 holes.

The 1st round will be played on Friday 22 November. The 2nd round draw will be seeded – based on the 1st round scores – and will be played on Saturday 23 November with players starting from both the 1st and 10th tees.

On Saturday evening, the field will be cut to the leading 60 players and ties who will contest the 3rd and final round on Sunday 24 November.
