Sorenstam eyes off 11th LPGA title of the year

Annika Sorenstam is well on her way to snaring her 11th title of the LPGA Tour season, despite several missed birdie chances, which would have seen her improve on her second round -2 (70) at the Trump International Golf Club. She takes a one stroke over a trio of players into the final round including Rachel Teske, Meg Mallon and Lorie Kane.
If Sorenstam wins this week it will be her 11th title of the LPGA season and the most on Tour since 1964. During the year she also won tournaments in Australia and Sweden.
Defending champion Karrie Webb appears to be have returned to form this week and closed at -5 following a round today of 70. She sits in equal 5th and just two strokes from the lead.
Australian Shani Waugh is three strokes back from Webb at -2 and equal 9th while Michelle Ellis posted a 77 to slip back to a tie for 23rd at 4.
