Noh sweat as Jessica cleans up

IN: News | Australian Ladies Amateur | NSW Women's Stroke Play (2007) | Round Three | by Liz White | 22 Jun 2007

Ryde Parramatta’s Jessica Noh has won a rain-shortened NSW Stroke play championship by two shots from National Squad members Frances Bondad and Helen Oh at the St Michael’s golf course today.

Bad weather played havoc this week causing organisers to shorten the 72 hole event to 54. Today however, was perfect and Noh revelled in the sunshine finishing strongly with a closing 74 to take her total to 223.

But Noh would be disappointed that she won’t have a chance to take the NSW Amateur next week as she is unavailable to contest the match play stage of the tournament which starts on Sunday.

This leaves today’s runners-up, Bondad and Oh, as the top two qualifiers. If both girls make the final it will be a rematch of their recent Grade One match in which they squared the contest. Get ready for a tense one.
