Lonard and Moseley share lead at Coolum

Peter Lonard and Jarrod Moseley have grabbed a one-stroke lead following the first round one of the $1 million Australian PGA Championship at the stunning Hyatt Coolum in Queensland.

Lonard took advantage of early calm conditions to knock in eight birdies during his round of -7 (65), his only downfall coming with a bogey at the par-3 14th.

Lonard's group included, Kiwi Greg Turner and Greg Chalmers,who both enjoyed solid opening rounds, with the Kiwi threatening the course record of 63 after firing seven birdies in the first ten holes before falling away with a couple of bogeys to close with a 66.

Kiwi Greg Turner sits in outright third place at -6 followed by Greg Chalmers, Andre Stolz and Aaron Baddeley at -5 and in equal 4th. Craig Parry posted a -4 (68) to sit alone in 7th place.
