32-year-old Patrick Moore in his rookie year on the Buy.Com Tour eagled the last hole to win his first event as a professional. Moore, who graduated from a couple of seasons on the Canadian Tour where he was second in one event last season, was having just his second start on the Tour and had to survive a Monday qualifying playoff to get a start.
His final round was a roller coaster ride with three birdies in the first four holes followed by a series of bogies. He put all that behind him with his eagle at the last and now has, at worst, an exemption on the Buy.Com Tour for the next eighteen months.
John Maginnes vastly more experienced than Brooke was second just one shot back after he had birdied the last and then watched as Brooke sealed the deal.
Australian James McLean continued his development with a fourteenth place.
