Katayama leads at half way point

Joint first round leader, Japan’s Shingo Katayama, has moved into the outright lead today at the completion of round two in the Golf Nippon Series JT Cup. The 29 year old Katayama leads by one from Korea’s Jong-Duck Kim, whose second round 65 was the best of the day, with a further four shots back to New Zealand’s David Smail and veteran Jumbo Ozaki.

Brendan Jones improved today with a second round 69 but still finds himself thirteen shots behind the leader in 16th place in the twenty man field.. Terry Price the other Australian in the field is 18th at two over.
