Chris Campbell has finished runner up at the Casio World Open after the winner Taichi Teshima, reeled off three birdies in his last four holes to edge one shot ahead of the Canberra golfer to win his 7th event on the Japan Golf Tour.
Teshima came from 6th place and three shots behind the lead on the final day.
Campbell, who had led into the final round, was unable to pick up the extra birdie he needed over the closing holes but it was a brilliant week for the 32-year-old, who earns $A140,000 and moves to 33rd on the Japan Tour money list.
New Zealander David Smail was the only other Australasian to make the cut finishing 22nd.
The Japan Golf Tour will play their final event of the season this week when the Golf Nippon Series JT Cup is played in Tokyo.
