Robert Allenby announced today that he has joined sports management agent Tony Bouffler of AJB Sports to represent his interests in Australia, New Zealand and throughout Asia and Ken Kennerly of IGP Sports & Entertainment to look after his management in the US and Europe.
“I have worked with Tony for the past 10 years on the financial side of things and I have been impressed how he has grown his business to become arguably the leading player manager in Australia,” said Allenby. “He has the runs on the board and the personal touch that I am looking for at this stage of my career.
Kennerly has some 20 years experience in the golf management business including working for Jack Nicklaus as well as running the PGA Tour Honda Classic in February.
“I have known Ken for many years and he brings a great deal of experience to the table and lives 10 minutes from me in Florida,” said Allenby. “I believe that in Tony and Ken I have all bases covered with specialists in their respective parts of the world.”
Tony Bouffler commented that “Robert is not only a great golfer but also has terrific marketing appeal as evidenced by the positive press he received during the recent Australian Open in Sydney. Robert is also a great supporter of Challenge Cancer – a Melbourne based charity assisting children and their families deal with the effects of cancer – where he has helped raise over seven million dollars in the last ten years.”
AJB Sports also represents current Australian Open Champions Craig Parry and Karrie Webb, as well as Open runners up Nick O’Hern and Won Joon Lee.
