NEC signs as Moonah Classic sponsor

Leading international communication and technology company NEC has signed on as a major sponsor of the Moonah Classic to be held at Moonah Links on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula from February 21-24.
A leader in the development of broadband and mobile communication technologies as well as end-to-end, data and video solutions, NEC will provide the tournament with not only sponsorship dollars but also key technology services.
The Moonah Classic, co-sanctioned by the Australasian and Nationwide Tour is the second event on the PGA Tour of Australasia schedule following the HSBC NZ PGA Championship at Clearwater Resort, Christchurch. Additionally it is the fourth event on the Nationwide Tour schedule for 2008, boasting one of the largest prize purses ever offered on that Tour.
The event consolidates the strong US Tour relationship and player pathway, and provides an enormous opportunity to the next generation of Australasian golfers to make their way on the world stage.

The Moonah Classic is the second of the Down Under swing of Nationwide Tour co-sanctioned events for 2008 following the HSBC New Zealand PGA Championship and will feature proven stars Peter O’Malley, Steven Bowditch, Paul Gow, Paul Sheehan and Greg Chalmers who have all tasted success on the Nationwide and Australasian Tours.
