Senior makes his move at SA PGA

Australian golfing great Peter Senior has moved into contention in the 2008 OG Roberts SA PGA Championship at Blue Lake Golf Links, Mt Gambier following an eight-under, 59 in today’s third round.

Starting the day at five-under, Senior has moved to 13 under and within striking distance of the lead maintained by Victorian Heath Reed.

Reed posted a solid round of one-under, 66 to move to 15 under but has a large pack chasing his tail.

New South Welshman Aaron Townsend with a 61 today sits alongside Senior at 13 under and again is well placed to capture his maiden Von Nida Tour victory.

New Zealander Brendan Stuart, Victorian Rod Booth, Tasmanian Clint Rice and multiple Von Nida Tour event winner Kurt Barnes share fourth position on 12 under.

Tomorrow’s final round of the 2008 OG Roberts SA PGA Championship begins at 9.20am with the final pairing of Reed, Senior and Townsend due to commence play at 10.40am.
