Durdin 11th at JLPG Vernal Ladies

Australian Tamie Durdin has finished 11th at the lucrative Vernal Ladies event at the Fukuoka Century Golf Club in Fukuoka in southern Japan. Durdin finished seven shots behind the winner Korean Euan-A Lim after a final round of 71.

For the 24-year-old Lim, who is in her second season on the JLPGA Tour, it was her first victory on the JLPGA Tour although this was her fourth top ten of the season. Lim defeated 34-year-old Akiko Fukushima – looking for win number 25 – by just one shot but Fukushima retains her lead on the JLPGA Tour’s money list. Lim moved into third position as a result of today’s victory.

Canberra golfer, Nikki Campbell, finished 24th following a final round of 75.

The JLPGA Tour now moves to Chukyu TV Bridgestone Ladies event in Aichi Prefecture.
