Bridgestone debuts TreoSoft ball

Bridgestone Golf has announced a new value performance ball with unrivaled feel and performance, the TreoSoft. Bridgestone Golf, widely credited for pioneering the long and soft 2-piece ball with its Precept MC Lady, will now offer the Bridgestone Golf TreoSoft, utilising a superior core, cover and dimple pattern when compared to competitors’ balls in the same category.
The TreoSoft utilises a soft surlyn cover, featuring a 330-dimple pattern with Seamless Cover TechnologyTM (SCT), eliminating the traditional seam line. SCT, a technology pioneered and perfected by Bridgestone Golf, creates added distance and a more consistent flight for Tour proven pinpoint accuracy, eliminating the variance in distance between “pole-hits” and “equator-hits.”
The 330-dimple configuration is designed for optimum trajectory, producing a shallower angle of descent for better roll out and more total distance. The soft surlyn ionomer cover is designed to provide players with great feel and enhanced control.
For added pop off the tee, TreoSoft relies on a soft gradational compression core – designed to produce optimum deformation and repulsion at impact – for moderate swing speed golfers. This results in greater energy transfer, producing longer distance off the tee.
The new TreoSoft is geared for golfers of all skill levels to help prevent ballooning ball flight and provide added forgiveness from the tee and on approach shots. The ball will appeal to those seeking an extra soft feel and longer distance with the driver through short irons.

The Bridgestone Golf TreoSoft will feature a suggested retail price of US$30 per dozen and will be available beginning July 1st, 2008.
