Stephanie Na wins SA Amateur

Stephanie Na has cruised to a 6&5 victory over fellow Royal Adelaide member Sarah King to claim the 2008 South Australian Amateur Championships at the Blackwood Golf Club in Adelaide’s southern outskirts.
Na, the recent co-winner of the inaugural Karrie Webb Series, quickly disposed of King to add yet another title to her expanding resume.
2008 has been a banner year for the talented 18-year-old with victories coming at the Australian Amateur Stroke Play as well as the West Australian Women’s 72 Hole Stroke Play in early May.
In the coming months, Na will head overseas to contest several amateur events in the US but she will not be going through the gruelling LPGA Q-School just yet. Na believes she needs more tournament experience to build her confidence before tackling a professional career.
“I really want to be prepared for tour school and I don’t think I am ready,” she said.
