Several Australasians have progressed to the final stage of qualifying for the 2003 Asian PGA Tour following stage one qualifying at two courses near Malaccca in Malaysia.

In total sixty-one players from the two venues will advance to the finals being staged in Johor Bahru next Wednesday.

Australians Chris Gill, Shannon Jones, Andrew Porter, Adam Fraser, Jason King, Chris Campell, Scott Barr, Scott Strange, Adam Le Vesconte, Jason Dawes, Pat Giles, Nathan Kent, Marcus Both, Richard Swift, Aaron Snape, Luke Arnott and Glenn Joyner along with New Zealanders Gavin Hills and Julian Purser will face the music once again next week.

They look to gain cards to enable them to play in Asia this season where the first event gets under way on January 23rd with the Caltex Masters in Singapore. Given that event is co-sanctioned with the European Tour, the first event in which most of these players can expect to get starts, should they make it through in Johor, will be the Myanmar Open on February 27th.
